"A whisky that proves beauty deepens with age, and wisdom is the finest finish of all."
Nuance & Notes
Like Silenus himself — god of harvest, wine, and quiet wisdom — this whisky speaks in warmth rather than force. Its character recalls the opening of a beehive on a summer’s day: honeyed, floral, alive with warmth, yet grounded by earth and age. Sweetness comes first, generous and inviting, before settling into toasted grain, nut, and gentle, steady heat.
There is abundance here, but also restraint. A port finish in ex-French oak from the Limousin region adds depth and quiet polish, bringing dark fruit richness and supple structure. Spice and smoke sit in balance, never dominating, guiding the sweetness into a composed, comforting finish. Silenus does not rush or insist — he welcomes, lingers, and leaves you content, a whisky shaped as much by patience and maturity as by oak.
